I teach 6th Grade Reading and this book is perfect for this age group. I loved it too so don't be afraid to read it if you are an adult.
The school setting and the stern teacher who disappears on a field trip will appeal to young readers. I particularly liked the sub plot with the Iraqi veteran. It added a timely dimension to the story.
I live in Florida and I have actually seen a Florida panther in the wild. They are very rare, and you really feel special if you get the chance to see one. If you live anywhere and love wildlife, you will love this story!

The red and blue lights flashing behind you as you pull to the side of the road. What did I do, was I driving too fast? As you sit and wait for the officer to explain the situation just imagine what is going through their head - every stop, every call could lead to front page news. How does someone make a career choice that leads to defending and protecting the citizens of your town? Drink, Fish, Smoke shows the more human side of law enforcement, a story most rarely consider and few ever think about. Within it's pages lie the story of a boy who grew up to protect the freedoms most take for granted, making mistakes along the way and above all being human. This book is everything you need if you are considering a career or just curious in a behind the scenes look at what makes law enforcement so intriguing. While reading this book I did something I wasn't expecting, I laughed... a lot! Humorous and well written it has something for everyone, and it just might change your outlook towards those who serve and protect.

An old friend recommended this book to me. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I agreed to borrow it. However, after a few pages, I really got in to it. The characters were interesting and unique. The story is a mixed bag of big business, international intrigue, espionage, not to mention love interests. It seems the author must have had first-hand knowledge of much of the story line (I'm guessing that a lot of the book is autobiographical). I really enjoyed SMOKE, and anxiously await the sequel. This will also make a great action-adventure movie. (Think Harrison Ford as SMOKE).

Great book. Held my attention from start to finish. If you like your romance novels filled with action, suspense and scorching love scences, then this is the book for you. Great job Wynter Daniels!
May I also suggest for you interested readers a great book in the same genre titled "Tie Me Down" by Tracy Wolff. Enjoy!
