I certainly agree with your feelings about cigarettes. My mother smoked for fifty years of her life and stopped at the age of 77 when she had an emergency appendectomy. It was too late. She had already destroyed her circulatory system and she died at 88 of circulatory problems and emphysema. When I was a child, she used to smoke in the car with the windows closed. When I would get car-sick and complain, I was told I was just trying to get attention. It was years later that I got furious thinking about what had happened. I tried inhaling a cigarette once when I was a teenager just to see what it was like. It was a horrible experience. I still can¹t imagine why anyone would do it intentionally and I hate having to breathe second hand smoke.
