I picked up this program because I'm a writer and my grammar skills are not very strong. I researched several different software packages, and settled on this one based on reviews I had read.
This software will work on Vista, provided you are using a 32-bit version of vista. This software will not work on 64-bit versions of Windows.
The software doesn't integrate itself into a word processor, nor does it claim to. The software is a separate tool. It requires you to cut and paste your text from your word processor of choice into the program for analysis.
I performed a series of test runs with the package. It picked up a lot more errors than Word 2007's grammar checker did. Please note, this software wont automatically correct the work for you. It will flag potential errors and advise you of them. It's then up to you to make any changes in your document.
At first I found the software's error checking messages to be intimidating. However, the more I used the program, the less intimidating it became. I recommend a good writer's dictionary so you can understand some of the grammar jargon this program's error messages display.
The more I work with RightWriter, the more I come to understand grammar. I've reached the point where I can now identify and correct problems in my work without using the software. If you need a good grammar checker I can recommend this one.
