(More customer reviews)Disaster lurks everywhere when McKenna and Jade James arrive onthe set of Thoroughbred Fever. When Jade is injured, her faith in Godis shaken. McKenna, determined to catch the arsonist, gets into deeper trouble trying to solve the mystery. Her life and her sister's are in danger, but the thought of Jade's "New Age" change in faith scares her more.
Written in the first person, it puts you in McKenna's place, seeing things from her perspective. Her half-truth's and bad attitude are things to watch out for, but at fourteen those things tend to happen a lot. So all in all the book in written correctly for young or preteens minds, it's something they can relate to. The third book is better in my opinion (which isn't much.), because it shows promise in her character and faith in God. BUT you have to read the first two books to truly get the entire picture. The series is good despite the lack of faith in McKenna in the first two books.
