The book starts with a 17-year-old boy with a dream of becoming a firefighter, and takes you through his career. You get to look inside the life of a volunteer firefighter both on the job and his family life. Although this is a fiction book fire call accounts, graphically and emotionally are real and at the beginning of each chapter you are taken through the growth that a fire goes through as seen by "the Fire". If you ever thought of becoming a fire fighter this is for you, if you are a firefighter, you will find yourself throughout this book
