This book made a lot of sense to me because it showed me many effective ways to stop smoking. It dawned on me that if there were these many ways and if they are working for most people then one should work for me to. Basically, it really gave me the scruples to stop making excuses and just do it. I'm happy to say that I'm on my 2nd full month without cigarette. Maybe its too early to say I've already beaten it but this is the longest I've been without them and I'm not missing them a bit. I guess that with this book as one of my support systems I'm definitely on my way to getting back my health!

a must to read if you are committed in quitting smoking.
it gives the full picture of how smoking works, how it gets you and how it keeps you hooked. and after having given the framework, it provides the lightest method to quit you could ever dream of. and with no side-effects.
i did smoke for 15 years and was a real tobacco addicted (30 heavy ones a day), and i've been a happy ex-smokers for almost 5 years now. i wish mr or mrs riley could get my gratitude!

Basically the book does what it says. It starts off by explaining how come people find it so hard to quit smoking. Then it explains how people who have learned to stop have done it (including the author who was a smoker himself). What is special and different about this book is how it makes you feel as you read it. Something starts to change as you read each page and you slowly start to begin to feel differently about smoking. Its hard to describe, but its like you can see more clearly what cigarettes are doing to you and you start losing the desire to ever want them in your life. Anyways, you have to do the exercises but they are actually fun and help you see other things too. I can't recommend this book enough. I got this book for all my friends who are still smokers because I knew they would love it too!

I was extremely skeptical. Have smoked strong European cigarettes (you know, so I can get European cancer but look good doing it) for 25 years. I had quit for 4 years during that time with a patch, but started back up a few years ago smoking more than ever, 2+ packs per day. We are vacationing soon at a place where there is no smoking, so I got this book to try and prepare myself. I had no intention of quitting the day I did. I read the book thinking I would listen to the CD another time, but went ahead and listened to it and have not picked up a cigarette since. I have re-listened to the CD 3 times just to make sure, plus it is very relaxing. I have the patch ready to put on, but I have not needed it yet. I sit in my office on the computer with a cup of coffee and remarkably no cigarette ! Give this a try if you are thinking about quiting....I hope you will be as pleasantly surprised as I am that it does work. She does a great job of letting you know about hypnosis, so if you are unfamiliar or a little afraid, she answers all of those questions and puts you at ease.
