He takes us on a journey through the bamboozlement of the mind -- Velikovsky, Bible Code, New Age theorists, Astrotherpists, PLR (I will let you find out what that one is), UFOlogy .. the list goes on. Relentlessly, Davis with clarity and elegance pin points the nonsense. There may be smoke and mirrors but here is the fire brigand and the baloney detector.
I read the book in a single sitting - actually a bed reading that lasted into the early hours - and I suspect you will too. No doubt its Amazon.com ranking will be dwarfed by books touting the latest pseudoscience fad -- but it is a big brick in the building of a world free of slavery to such gobbledygook. It has a good selected reading list.
