Tobacco and Shamanism in South America (Psychoactive Plants of the World Series) Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This book is nothing but a survey of previous literature. It's an exhaustive (and I mean EXHAUSTING) list of every mention of tobacco in the notes, logs, and published works of early explorers, scientists, and missionaries in South America. There were a few interesting things - I didn't fall asleep EVERY time I tried to read it, just almost every time. It took me 2 years to get through this book. Don't look here if you want to understand the role of tobacco in South American medicine.
