Simply the best overview, albeit an early one which lacks later expansion of volcanology knowledge, on the katmai eruption. Full of b&w pictures, awe inspired prose at the vastness of the titanic aftermath they witnessed. A must have for volcano lovers. Includes material on a huge landslide and subsequent flood which in itself is an amazing account in its own right. This is a compilation of national geographic articles by robert f griggs.
